  • Five Old Mountains Sky Tower

    Located almost in the center of Maizuru, Mt. Goro-dake boasts an elevation of 301m. A 50m-high observation tower stands at its peak. From the observation room, 325m above sea level, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the beautiful ria coastline of Maizuru Bay and Maizuru city. The view from here has been selected as the "Number 1 of the 100 Views of the Kinki Region," and is well worth seeing.

    This white steel cable-stayed bridge spans Maizuru Bay. It is 735m long and 95m above the water. It was designed to resemble two cranes, with the main towers representing crane beaks and the cables representing wings. The word for crane is "crane" in English, so the bridge was named "Crane Bridge," meaning "crane bridge."
